We run free courses and visit schools. We also build real software — UniGuide, TrackClass, and Treeventx — because the best way to teach people to build is to build alongside them.

Honesty over hype
We are an early-stage organisation. We say that clearly. We do not claim numbers we have not earned or events we have not run. Trust is built slowly and lost fast.
Local first
Everything we build is designed for the Sierra Leonean context — local examples, local problems, local realities. Not imported solutions dressed up in local colours.
Access as a right
Financial barriers should not determine who gets to work in tech. Our courses are free. Our school visits are free. We build for the student who cannot afford to pay, not around them.
Build, don't just talk
Sierra Leone does not need more conversations about the digital skills gap. It needs working products. We spend more time building than presenting.
Precision over scale
We would rather do one thing that genuinely helps 20 students than do ten things that superficially reach thousands. Real impact is specific.
Community over competition
The Sierra Leonean tech ecosystem is small. We share what we learn, collaborate where we can, and treat every other person building here as an ally.
Our story
Where we came from
Founded
Ahmed Ibrahim Sankoh and Mohamed Super Dumbuya, both completing the ALX 12-month Software Engineering programme, founded Tech Inspire SL with one conviction: too many Sierra Leoneans have the ability but not the access.
UniGuide development starts
We began building UniGuide — an AI-powered platform to help Sierra Leonean students navigate university admissions and scholarship opportunities. A direct response to what we saw in schools: students who don't know what to study or where.
School outreach begins
We started visiting secondary schools across Lungi and Mile 91 — talking to students about tech careers and what developers actually do. We also ran a workshop on AI for education at one school, showing students and teachers how AI tools could work in the classroom. No fees, no pitch, just showing up.
E-Learning Space launches
We built and published four complete free courses — Save Your Code Challenge, Python for Beginners, How the Internet Works, and HTML & CSS Foundations. We also began planning a short courses programme (beginner digital skills, in-person). That programme is paused until we have the materials and funding to run it properly.
TrackClass development begins
Watching university attendance processes up close — paper sheets, proxy sign-ins, no data — we started building TrackClass. A three-layer verification system: geofence, session code, and device lock. 85% complete and seeking pilot partners.
Where we are now
Six core leadership roles filled. Three products in active development. Four free courses live. School visits and an AI workshop delivered across Lungi and Mile 91. No physical office yet. Building the foundation that makes everything else possible.

A note on our numbers: School visit attendance was not tracked precisely early on. The 300+ figure is an honest estimate. We are implementing proper tracking going forward and will only publish numbers we can verify.

ALX Software Engineering graduate and CS student at Central University, Sierra Leone. Co-founded Tech Inspire SL and leads both the organisation's strategic direction and its educational programmes — defining partnerships, setting priorities, and ensuring course quality.
Mohamed Super Dumbuya
Co-founder · CTO
ALX Software Engineering graduate and student at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology. Leads all technical development — UniGuide, TrackClass, Treeventx, and the e-learning platform. Defines architecture, oversees development, and keeps technology aligned with the mission.
Wisdom Femi
Operations & Programs Lead
ALX AI starter kit graduate and a student at Central University. Oversees the planning and execution of all outreach programmes and short courses. Manages school visit logistics, coordinates facilitators and volunteers, and ensures activities run smoothly on the ground.
Mustapha
Finance & Grants Lead
ALX AI starter kit graduate and a student at IPAM - USL. Manages financial planning, grant research, and financial accountability. Researches funding opportunities, drafts grant proposals, develops budgets, and maintains transparent financial records.
Sonia Goba
Communications & Media Lead
A student at Central University, Mile 91. Manages Tech Inspire SL's visibility, branding, and public communication. Handles social media, documents outreach activities, publishes impact stories, and maintains brand consistency across all platforms.

Facilitators
2–3 neededDeliver sessions at school visits and workshops. Passion for tech and teaching is enough — no formal experience required.
Developers
2–3 neededContribute to UniGuide, TrackClass, or Treeventx. Any level welcome — this is how you build a real portfolio.

1–2 neededConsistent branding across social media, print, and digital content. Figma experience preferred.
